propulse are brothers Kyle and Jon Wall from Aylmer, ON. They operate on the fringes of ambient music, balancing textural elements with dance floor momentum and keen experimentation.

Following January’s ‘Digiform EP’, propulse have landed another beauty collection of crystalline synth works and pointillistic rhythms while introducing a decidedly weightier and more studied drum and bass quality to their melodic style of IDM. ‘Imaginal EP’ introduces timestretched amens and fractured artifacts, revelling in the imperfections with welcome results.

Meticulous and very skillfully assembled, and I feel like it generated emotions in me that I'm not even sure I've had before. Mike has this vocabulary with sound and tone that isn't like much else you'll hear - from the very start you'll get a real sense of being escorted through this really interesting terrain and you'll come out the end a changed person.
